CSEFEL Teaching Pyramid, Module 1

Promoting Children’s Success: Building Relationships and Creating Supportive Environments

Saturdays, March 4 and 18, and April 1, 2017

9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Students must attend all three sessions to receive CEUs.

Children’s challenging behavior continues to be the primary concern of teachers and caregivers. The Center for the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) has developed a framework focused on promoting children’s social emotional development and reducing challenging behavior in group care. The CSEFEL Teaching Pyramid Model considers ways to teach young children about appropriate behavior from a prevention perspective. Providers will learn a wealth of ideas and strategies to guide and support young children, and the instructor will provide assistance by email/phone between sessions.

These workshops are intended for licensed family child care providers and assistants, and privately operated child care center staff who work with mixed age children.
