4Cs offers information about child care availability and options, as well as other resources throughout San Mateo County. We are here to support families in making the choice that is right for them and to answer questions that come up before, during and after the selection process.
Our database includes approximately 1,000 childcare providers in San Mateo County. The database includes licensed providers as well as some programs that are exempt from licensing. Please note that our database is voluntary and therefore does not include all child care providers, only those who gave 4Cs permission to include them.

MyChildCarePlan.org is LIVE! This new search and support website exists to put trustworthy information and the power in the hands of families so that they have what they need to make the right choices for their children and providers can easily promote their services to families who need them.
Resource and Referral Phone Line
Resource and Referral (R&R) staff are available to assist you, generate a list of providers based on your needs, answer questions and provide resources on how to select a provider.
4Cs R&R staff are available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at (650) 517-1460 and (650) 517-1461 (Español).
Referrals Outside of San Mateo County
Every county in California has a Resource and Referral (R&R) Agency that provides free referrals to child care in that county. If you are a parent who is looking for childcare in a county other than San Mateo, please use this resource to find your local R&R Agency or call 1-800-KIDS-793.
