Participants will gain increased understanding of the components needed for children to learn to read and write. Suggestions concerning the creation of a print-rich environment and appropriate literacy activities will be provided.

Participants will receive 0.5 continuing education units for each 5-hour class and 1.0 continuing education unit for each 10-hour class, providing that they attend the entire class.
