This workshop will provide an overview of the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) – an observational assessment of the quality of interactions between teachers and children in preschool through third grade classrooms. The workshop will review the domains of the CLASS measure, its stucture, and the various uses of the tool.

This workshop is ideal for educators of young children who want to gain knowledge about what the CLASS is and how it can be used to assess and improve the quality of teacher child interactions with young learners.

Some of the topics to be addressed include:

  • Organization of the CLASS tool and its relationship to student achievement and professional development.
  • CLASS Dimensions (Emotional Support, Classroom Organization, Instructional Support).

Please Note: CLASS trainings are a precursor to the powerful interactions series that will be offered later in Fall, 2014.
