The Desired Results Development Profile (DRDP) is an observational-based child assessment tool designed to suppport teachers in observing, documenting and reflecting on children’s learning. The DRDP is aligned with the California Preschool Learning Foundations and Curriculum Frameworks and with the Common Core State Standards for kindergarten. This one-time workshop on the DRDP-2010 child assessment tool will include the following:

  • An introduction to and overview of the DRDP-2010 assessment tool;
  • An explanation of the terms and layout of the DRDP-2010 tool;
  • A discussion about how to use the DRDP-2010 to document and rate children’s growth;
  • Guidance on how to build a toolkit within your program to implement the DRDP-2010; and
  • An opportunity to learn about the four English Language Development (ELD) measures.

This workshop is one of several workshops on the DRDP-2010 that will be offered by the SMCOE over the course of the 2014-15 school year. Other upcoming workshops on the DRDP include the DRDP Infant-Toddler (9/13/14), DRDP Meaningful Observation (11/15/14), and DRDP Activity Planning(4/18/15).
