Presented by: Lisa Kaplan Shaanan, MS OTR/L, a senior pediatric occupational therapy with advanced knowledge and skills in typical and atypical development of young children. For more than 20 years of practice, Lisa’s focus has been on children with Autism Spectrum disorders, sensory processing difficulties, social-emotional challenges and assistive technology needs.

This workshop will explore sensorimotor strategies that can be used by individuals of all ages to support their self-regulation and enhance readiness to learn. Through self-reflection activities and hands-on experiences participants will gain an understanding of how sensory inputs can be leveraged to promote attention, motivation and focus.
