Using a trauma-informed lens approach is an approach that can be used across all systems of the early childhood field. There is a growing body of research indicating that young children can have detrimental effects of events that threaten their safety or the safety of parents/caregivers.

If you are a parent, child-care provider, teacher, director, or an advocate for young children, come learn what trauma is and how to understand children who have undergone trauma. In this training, participants will learn about what trauma is, different kinds of trauma, the roots of trauma, and internal and external resources caregivers can use to support children who have been affected by trauma. This is part 1 of a 2 part series. The next training will be 7/30/19 from 6:30-8:30 at Sobrato for Nonprofits Center.
