Provider Resource Center

4Cs offers current and potential child care providers and other community members in San Mateo County an array of information, consultation, and training services in the areas of child care and development and early childhood education. Our staff works to connect providers with trainings, workshops, membership associations, professional development projects, insurance and the referral process.

Technical Assistance Line:  4Cs operates a free Technical Assistance (TA) phone service for current and potential child care providers, Monday through Friday, from 9AM to 12PM. On the TA line, counselors are available to answer questions and provide information, referrals, and guidance on various issues related to becoming a child care provider, operating a child care business, and working with children and families. Providers can reach TA counselors at (650) 655-5010.

Getting Licensed? The Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) is designed to increase the supply of licensed, quality child care by recruiting and training family child care providers. Providers in the program receive incentives for attending training and personalized attention from one of our counselors as they build their child care business. Contact Amalia Forcari, (650) 655-5025, for more information on how CCIP staff can assist you in getting licensed and participating in training.

Are you a nanny, babysitter, or relative/neighbor child care provider? Our Growing, Learning, Caring (GLC) program reaches out to license-exempt providers like you. We offer technical assistance and training to caregivers, such as family and friends, who are exempt from licensing. We regularly offer a 4-part training series to anyone who is providing child care in a home-based setting. Participants in the GLC program receive incentives at the completion of workshops. Contact Amalia Forcari, (650) 655-5025.
